APEX AR

The future of racing monitoring — every Grand Prix replayed as a holographic sculpture on your table, driven by real OpenF1 telemetry.

01
VISION

Race day,
made spatial.

Live timing screens are flat. Streams are 2D. APEX AR uses ARKit and 300+ telemetry data points per second from the OpenF1 archive to render every car as a holographic wireframe — anchored to any flat surface, scrubbable frame-by-frame.

3-SECTION FLOW · FIRST RUN

Inspire,
then explain.

Three full-bleed slides set the emotional tone before any UI loads. Custom SVG visuals per slide — track arc, telemetry waveform, top-down lap — sit beneath bold typographic statements.

01
Vision
"The future of racing, on your table." — establishes the AR promise immediately.
02
Telemetry
"20 cars. 300+ data points per second." — credibility through specificity.
03
Presence
"Be in the pit wall." — invites the user into the experience.

TAB 01 · DATA SOURCE

Pick a race.
Any race.

A three-step picker — Season → Grand Prix → Session — pulls from OpenF1's full archive. The footer reports payload size and frame count so the user knows what they're loading before they hit go.

01
Season pills
2024–2026, single-tap selection with red underline accent on active state.
02
GP list
Flag tile + circuit name + date in monospace. 10 events per season.
03
Session grid
FP1 / FP2 / FP3 / Quali / Sprint / Race in a 3×2 grid.

TAB 02 · LIVE DATA

Broadcast-grade
telemetry.

Every signal you'd see on the FOM world feed, distilled for mobile. Mini-track + weather strip live in a single carded module above the standings table.

01
Live order
Position, code, gap, last lap, team color stripe — toggleable to sectors and tires.
02
Mini circuit
Live driver dots on a stylised Monaco map, sector-coloured for purple/green/yellow.
03
Weather + pit log
Air, track temp, wind, humidity, status. Every stop with from→to compound and duration.

TAB 03 · THE HEADLINE FEATURE

Holographic
cars on glass.

ARKit places a track plane on any horizontal surface. Wireframe car entities are driven by interpolated OpenF1 frames at 0.5×–4× speed, scrubbable by lap or time.

01
Playback dock
Timeline scrubber, lap stepper, play/pause, speed selector — all in one liquid-glass module.
02
Camera presets
Top, Chase, Trackside — switch viewpoint without breaking the AR anchor.
03
Driver focus
Tap any car to follow it. Speed, gear, throttle %, DRS state surface in a glass card.
