Hackathon
May 2–3, 2026
Tulsa, OK

A road trip became an idea. The idea became today.

WTF is a Hackathon?

Teamwork Communication Collaboration
Creativity Problem Solving Finding The Way

A 24-hour sprint.

Sleep, or don't. Up to you :)

A pilot, not a one-off

OU and OSU have hackathon traditions decades deep. TU has none. This weekend is the first step toward changing that.

Now · Spring 2026

The First One

Prove it works at TU. Small, scrappy, real. You're the founding cohort.

Summer

Build the Coalition

Industry & corporate partners, more campus support, sponsors who want in on year two.

Fall 2026

Bigger & Better

If you want to help shape what comes next — come back in the fall and build it with us.

Rules

01
Start from zero.

No pre-existing content allowed. Bring ideas you've been thinking about — but the code, assets, and materials all get created from scratch this weekend.

02
Document your work.

Keep records of everything: conversations, notes, pictures, code versions, commits. You'll submit it all alongside your project.

03
Tell the story.

When you present to the judges, bring them into your vision of the future first — then show them why what you built matters in that world.

Prizes

1st Place
$500
2nd Place
$300
3rd Place
$200

The Hurricane Hackathon

A Call to Imagine.

Not "build the obvious thing." Build the thing you can't stop thinking about.

You're not going to have
everything you need.

That's the point. Hack the gap. Borrow, improvise, ask, ship.

The next 24 hours

The future is yours
to shape.
